Abstract

The appearance of the user interface is one of the important parts that is one of the key to the success of an application. Design that is not excessive, functions that suit the application's use, ease of use by various groups and an attractive appearance are points that need to be considered when designing and building a particular application. SIAKAD is a website-based system that was built to facilitate the academic process, so that in terms of time and usability, SIAKAD is very often accessed by students. Based on observations, SIAKAD at the University of Cokroaminoto Palopo requires changes to several elements, especially in terms of the user interface. The purpose of this research is to carry out a redesign process to see the results. Based on the results of the redesign that has been carried out and given to respondents for assessment, it is found that it is necessary to change the interface design for SIAKAD in order to provide user satisfaction.
