Foreign Tourists View Points on the Belief of Aluk Tudolo in Toraja South Sulawesi

Abstract

Toraja is the foreign Tourists destination or inbound tourists destination, this area has attracted more and more foreign tourists to visit. Toraja is mostly visited by the foreign tourists and good for European, Scandinavian, American market and some for Asian markets. The writers were interested in finding more information why the liked coming to visit this highland. The covert and frank observation and the structured interview were technique they used in collecting the data. The data were collected from April to August by interviewing the same question to the different tourists from Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey, China, Holland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Scandinavia, England, and United States of America. The results showed that the Torajan culture of Aluk Tudolo had attracted them to come to visit besides the nature. They said that Aluk Tudolo was unique, interesting, and the one and only they had ever found.
