Abstract

Economic development is part of the national development planning carried out by many countries, including Indonesia, but with the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the economy has weakened, layoffs have occurred, and MSMEs have not developed, due to weak market demand. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role and government policies in economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia, the method used in this research is a literature review by collecting dozens of journals or articles and then comparing several countries in Southeast Asia in the role of government policy. in economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic. During the Covid-19 pandemic, The world economy and Indonesia are experiencing a slowdown and the government's role in overcoming the economy during this pandemic does face various challenges, both in terms of regulation and implementation in the field, and the government must seek to schedule new policies so that the economic impact of the pandemic does not cause a prolonged crisis. building the Indonesian economy after going through the Covid-19 pandemic, this is where good government roles and policies are needed to be able to restore the Indonesian economy, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, the Government is trying to move the business world through providing incentives/stimulus to MSMEs and corporations. For MSMEs, the government, among others, provides installment delays and bank loan interest subsidies.
