THE ROLE OF MOTHER IN DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AGED 1-5 YEARS IN THE WORKING AREA OF THE MANDAI HEALTH CENTRE
Abstract
The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of the mother's role on the development of children aged 1-5 years. The method used is cross sectional. The research was conducted April 15-26 2024. The population was all mothers who had children under five in the Mandai Health Center working area, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi province. The sample was taken randomly as many as 88 people. The research results showed that 36.4% of mothers' roles were good, 21.6% of them were adequate, and 2.3% of them were poor. Meanwhile, for child development, it was found that child development was appropriate at 75.5%, child development was doubtful at 14.0%, child development was 10.2%. Chi square analysis shows p value = 0.000, which indicates that p > 0.05, meaning there is an influence of the mother's role on the development of children aged 1-5 years. It was concluded that there is an influence of the mother's role on the development of children aged 1-5 years.
