THE EFFECT OF AUDIOVISUAL HEALTH EDUCATION ON BULLYING BEHAVIOR IN ADOLESCENTS

Abstract

BACKGROUND: Bullying is aggressive behavior and intentional acts of violence perpetrated by an individual or group, repeatedly and over time, involving verbal, physical, psychological, and social media harm. This is caused by various factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of audiovisual health education on bullying behavior in adolescents at YP- PGRI Disamakan Junior High School in Makassar City. METHOD: This research method used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using a one -group pretest-posttest design. The sample was determined using total sampling with a sample size of 50 respondents. The instrument used in this study was a quest ionnaire. The statistical test used a paired sample t-test with a significance level of p < 0.05. RESULTS & DISCUSSION: The bivariate test results showed a p -value for the knowledge variable (p=0.000), attitude variable (p=0.000), and action variable (p=0.000). This means that all variables were influenced by audiovisual health education for adolescents at SMP YP-PGRI Disamakan Makassar. CONCLUSION: The conclusion of this study is a significant influence between audiovisual health education and bullying behavior in adolescents. Therefore, it is hoped that students will be able to apply the knowledge and material gained through the audiovisual education process regarding bullying behavior in schools.
