Abstract

Sub district Community Health Centre of Batua Makassar is a first-level health facility that has a pediatrician. Assessment on administrative prescriptions and pharmaceutics requirement of non-sterile extemporaneous compounding medicine in prescription is done to reduce the medication error. This research aimed to examine the percentage administrative of conformity and pharmaceutics requirements of non-sterile extemporaneous compounding medicine in children’s prescription at Batua Makassar health centre according to the regulations of the Minister of health No. 74 of 2016. This study was a descriptive study in which the data collection was done retrospectively and by purposive sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results obtained 189 sheets of children's prescriptions from January to March 2021. The results showed the number of non-sterile child extemporaneous compounding medicine prescriptions of 189 sheets and the suitability of administrative requirements for the completeness at 100% to doctor’s data, completeness of patient data based on name and age by 100%, and weight and gender at 0%. Pharmaceutics requirements meeting 100% standard were in the dosage forms, the drug amount and the rules on drug use while the dosage form and the drug dose were 0%. The results of the completeness and analysis of prescriptions obtained were expected to assist the quality of care to patients and could prevent the possibility of medication errors in the prescribing phase.
